FIRE safety quiz winners at a Halesowen school were treated to reception in the mayor's parlour after winning a borough-wide contest.
The Lapal Primary School team clinched the West Midlands Fire Service Dudley schools Safety Challenge in the summer and narrowly missed out on the regional title.
Dudley mayor Councillor Alan Finch explained to the year six pupils how he presides over meetings, gave them a tour of the council chamber and talked about the history of the council house.
