CHRISTMAS festivities at an Oldbury estate promise to be bigger than ever with special guest Gracie the Lion switching on the lights.

The Lion Farm estate’s Yuletide fair will be held at the junction of Hartlebury Road and Martley Road, on Friday.

Highlights around the shopping parade will include a fun fair on the car park, Santa’s Grotto at Lion Farm Action Centre and carols and performances by Blackheath ukulele group Strummers at St James Church.

Christmas treats including cakes, mince pies and hot drinks will be dished up, along with a chocolate fountain at the library and samosas, spring rolls and hot pork from traders.

The Unicorn Day Nursery will be offering dance lessons and tombola, while St James School will also have its Christmas bazaar running alongside the event, with performances by schoolchildren This year’s Christmas Fair has been part funded by Community First in Langley and will run from 4pm until 6pm.
