A BIG-hearted Halesowen family of five donned Santa suits to take part in an annual festive run for Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Liz and David Austin plus children Alice, aged 15, Florence, aged 13 and seven-year-old Sammy were among hundreds who jogged round Birmingham city centre in the charity’s Santa Run.
Last Saturday’s 5km run and 2km stroll raised £14,000 for Acorns, which supports terminally ill children and those with life-limiting conditions along with their families.
Mrs Austin said: “This is a great way of raising money for a fantastic cause and it’s a brilliant start to Christmas.
“We’ve had a great day today, especially as it was my son Sammy’s first 5km.”
