Halesowen student nails success in national contest

A HALESOWEN College-trained nail technician has earned a bronze medal in a national beauty competition.

Karolina Miszczak scooped the WorldSkill UK award for advanced nail sculpting at the NEC after winning her places in the finals at the regional stage while at college in June.

The success of the 29-year-old VTCT level three student is a first for the college.

Course leader Jayne Meredith said: “Karolina has been an outstanding student. She has had an eye for detail and a passion for providing excellent services, so we are proud that her talent is being recognised. We hope Karolina will inspire other students.”
