BIG-HEARTED hairy bikers rode in convoy from Streetbike in Halesowen to deliver 12 bags of Christmas presents to Russell's Hall Hospital.

Children at the hospital got a real surprise on Saturday when over one hundred Santa's supercharged helpers turned up with the giant haul of presents from the biking community.

Gary Marshall, dealer principal for Streetbike opened up to the car park full of bikers, and gave out free mince pies, tea and coffee to the colourfully dressed group before they departed for the hospital.

He said: “Despite the recession, and with everyone having to tighten their belts we were over-whelmed by the generosity of our two wheeled friends, our office was overflowing with gifts large and small."

He added: “Bikers have always supported good causes all year round, at this time of year there are many events like this one around the country, all organised by bikers, and bike enthusiast.

"So to see such a huge turnout has been incredibly heart-warming, and I would like to thank all those involved for making it such a memorable day, both for the children and staff at Russells Hall hospital, and for all of us here at Streetbike.”
