FREE fitness sessions will help borough blokes who are battling the bulge get into shape in 2014.
Dudley Council’s FIT Blokes programme is exclusively for men with a body mass index of 30 or more.
The course runs for 12 weeks from the beginning of January, with classes available every Monday at Netherton Park or every Wednesday at Halesowen Park, from 7pm to 9pm.
Male instructors will provide nutritional information as well as physical activity such as football, green gyms and weight resistant exercise.
Councillor Stuart Turner, cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “Dudley Council recognises the physical and mental health advantages that stem from leading an active lifestyle, which is why we offer sessions like the FIT Blokes.
”We offer a wide range of activities in Dudley borough to help support those New Year resolutions.”
For more information, call the weight management team on 01384 814 444.
Participants will need GP consent before starting the course.
