AN Ofsted-rated “outstanding” Halesowen school is pioneering a new teacher training programme in partnership with Worcester University.
Lutley Primary School is one of the Government’s new School Direct providers enabling student teachers to have greater hands on practical experience in the classroom.
Five graduates are currently working through the programme at Lutley and its federated school, Lapal Primary.
Assistant headteacher Rebecca Stride said: “It is a new way to train as a teacher which may appeal to people who want a career change or to university graduates.”
