Pedal power proves a winner for Wilko staff

PEDAL-power by staff at a Halesowen store raised more than £500 for the Midlands Air Ambulance.

Thirty Wilko’s staff pedaled more than 180 miles in a sponsored bike-a-thon over two days, gathering donations from colleagues and customers.

Store manager Neil Fisher said: “The cycling team did a fantastic job at clocking up the miles. They exceeded the original target of 129 miles, the distance from here to Blackpool, so they did incredibly well.

“I’m proud of the Halesowen team, as they are always incredibly enthusiastic about fundraising for Midlands Air Ambulance and encouraging customers to do the same.”
