MORE than 30 real ales will be on tap at the 11th annual beer festival at a Halesowen cricket club.

The Coombs Wood Sports and Social Club is hosting what is thought to be the town’s biggest festival of its kind over four days from next Thursday (January 30).

Steward Nick Jones said a selection of ciders and country fruit wines will also be available, along with hot and cold food.

Rock and blues band Radiohound will provide entertainment on Friday night, followed by pop band Happy X on Saturday, both at 8.30pm.

Mr Jones said the event is the biggest annual fundraiser to support the different sections of the club, particularly the junior cricketers.

He added: “Last year it snowed which made it difficult for people to get to us, so we’re hoping for better weather this time.”

The festival, at the Stewarts Road club, will be open from 6pm on Thursday, from 4pm on Friday and from noon on Saturday, closing nightly at midnight, plus from noon until 5pm on Sunday.
