A BLACK Country youth pantomime group is set to bring to life in swashbuckling style the tale of Robinson Crusoe.

The Young Ones, which gives aspiring young theatre stars chance to tread the boards with veteran amateur performers, will be staging the show at Netherton Arts Centre, Northfield Road, Netherton, from this Saturday (January 25) until Saturday February 1.

Seasoned panto dame Mike Bradley will once again be taking to the stage along with Adrian Raybould as Black beard the pirate, teenaged performer Hayley Turnbull as leading lady Sally, and Adam Siviter is set to star as Robinson Crusoe - sharing a stage with his real-life fiancée Beth Coupland (playing Lottie).

Evening performances start at 7.15pm and there will be matinee shows, starting at 2.15pm, on Saturday January 25, Sunday January 26 and Saturday February 1.

Tickets cost £8.50 (and £9.50 on Saturday February 1) and are available from Chris Sykes on 01384 895256.
