Free e-bulletin for borough residents

8:00am Friday 31st January 2014

BOROUGH residents can keep up to speed with breaking news and school holiday events through a free e-bulletin.

Dudley Council is encouraging people as possible to sign up to the initiative, which will also include updates on changes to council services, such as the ongoing improvements to recycling collections in the borough.

Around 2,000 people are already getting the bulletins, which are sent ahead of all school holidays to give families information on events and activities taking place in the borough.

The emails are also sent to keep people informed of consultations to ensure people can have their say on local issues important to them.

Councillor Pete Lowe, deputy leader of the council, said: “The e-bulletins ensure people can keep up to speed with news from the council and across the borough. It is great that around 2,000 people are already receiving them but we would encourage others to go to the website and sign up for free.”

The next bulletin will be sent in February ahead of the half-term school break.
