KIND-hearted customers at a Quinton pet superstore dug deep into their pockets to raise more than £1,200 for an animal rescue charity.
Shoppers at Pets at Home, took part in a raffle in aid of the nearby Wellcat, cat and kitten rehoming centre. The raffle was run across the stores nationwide, with the main prize of Toyota Yaris.
Manager Lee Evans said: “Our customers really got behind the fundraising drive and in total, we sold nearly 1,200 tickets, although sadly none of them won the car.”
In a separate fundraiser last month, the store raised a further £550 through 50p donations, which will be split between Wellcat and Birmingham Dogs’ Home.
