A RED carpet was rolled out for star dancers at a Rowley Regis school at the premiere of a film made to broaden their horizons.
Pupils at Westminster Special School took part in the Black Country Dance Hub project, providing opportunities for young people.
They were among youngsters from 15 special schools who worked with the Frontline Dance Company and a film maker last term to create at suite of dance films to original music.
Sandwell mayor Councillor Linda Horton was guest of honour at the premiere attended by the cast, their families and teachers.
Westminster’s temporary assistant headteacher Ben Taylor said: “The film premiere was a great insight into the excellent work the Black Country Dance Hub has done over recent months in order for pupils, with a variety of physical and learning disabilities, to access dance and participate positively in the programme and reap the benefits dance can give an individual.”
