A TWILIGHT meeting has been launched by Halesowen and Rowley Regis Rotary Club in a bid to attract younger members.
The new time was launched last Wednesday at 6pm until 7.15pm for men and women from varied backgrounds who wish to join but are not available for the normal lunchtime get-togethers.
Membership officer Tony Billingham said the club was keen to boost membership and hoped the twilight sessions at Halesowen Golf Club would help the club grow.
It is designed to develop friendship as an opportunity for service and members take part in a variety of activities and fundraisers.
The club participates in mock interviews at schools, organises Halesowen’s annual Victorian Fair, is responsible for the Black Country Run and the annual Santa sleigh collections, with various other projects planned.
Mr Billingham said: “Rotarians are often recognised for the fundraising and projects they organise for the community.
“However, this is only a small part of the work members undertake as most are also involved in activities in a personal capacity.”
He added: “We can arrange for you to be a guest at one of our meetings or activities so that you can learn more about the work that Rotary does and the ideals that it stands for.”
Anyone interested in joining should contact Mr Billingham on 0121 550 1272 or visit www.halesowenrowleyregisrotary.org
