NETWORK Rail is unable to say when Cradley Heath rail crossing will reopen.
The crossing has been closed for six weeks after a vehicle crashed into the barriers despite Network Rail originally promising it would be open within a week.
A spokesman for Network Rail said: “We apologise for the ongoing disruption that the delay to repairing this level crossing is causing in the Cradley Heath area.
"The extent of the damage caused by the vehicle striking the barriers meant we have had to source different specialist parts and their delivery has been delayed, preventing us from carrying out the repairs.
He added: "We are working to reinstate the crossing as quickly as possible."
This week Stephanie Peacock, Labour candidate for the next General Election for the Halesowen and Rowley Regis constituency, demanded Network Rail to reopen the crossing.
She said: "Cradley Heath deserves better than this.
"Thirteen and half thousand people travel to and from Cradley Heath every week."
She added: "They pay good money for their tickets. It's not unreasonable for them to expect a decent standard of repairs at the station."
