A BOROUGH wedding venue is holding a sale of pre-loved wedding outfits for couples-to-be in search of bargains for their big day.

Once-worn designer and off-the-peg bride, groom, bridesmaid and page boy clothes will be sold at a wedding open day being held at Priory Hall in Dudley on March 15, as part of the register office’s new I-do-2 offer.

Some of the outfits will be modelled in fashion shows which will be held throughout the day.

Those looking to tie the knot can also talk to exhibitors about other big day essentials such as flowers, ceremony cars, photographs and favours – and take a look around the grade II-listed Priory Hall registration office and surrounding Priory Park, featuring the old Priory ruins.

Councillor Gaye Partridge, Dudley’s cabinet member for human resources, law and governance, said: “When planning a wedding people often focus first on wedding clothes. This is an ideal opportunity for people to bag a beautiful bargain. It is the first time that we have run I-do-2, so we will watch carefully to see what interest there is in pre-loved outfits, to see whether to carry on this initiative throughout the year.”
