A BLACK Country band which last year hit the big time with Bon Jovi is set to rock a stage in Stourbridge.

Of Kings and Captains will be live at the Moochers venue tomorrow (Friday) for a night showcasing the region’s musical talent.

Support acts for the show are Shrewsbury band The Rainmakers and Munkinpure who relocated to the UK in 2010 from their native South Africa.

Moochers director Sarah Evans said “Each of these bands are a headline act on their own, so to have all three playing on the same bill is brilliant.

“Of Kings And Captains are a great band with a very bright future ahead of them and we’re thrilled they are headlining this night.”

The band performed at stadiums around the UK in summer 2013 after winning a competition to open the show on Bon Jovi’s Because We Can tour and have received recognition from the music industry including radio play on stations such as BBC Radio, Absolute Radio and Kerrang.

Munkinpure are building a strong live following with gigs at leading venues and festivals while The Rainbreakers have also received national radio play and recently signed a deal with TMC Management.
