THE spotlight will shine on a showcase of talent in Colley Gate later this month to raise funds for Mary Stevens Hospice.

Topping the bill at the popular Variety Night at Wilson Hall will be Black Country comedienne Marlene with tales and poems of bygone days.

Hospice volunteer vocalist Tom Hill and talented singer/songwriter Esther Turner will open the show on Friday March 28.

The audience will be invited to dance along to the sounds of Frankie and the Flames.

Artistes will be accompanied by organist Steven Gill who will also play background music before the show starts at 7pm.

Vanessa Wale, community fundraiser at the Stourbridge hospice said: “We are really grateful to all those who have volunteered to perform at our Variety Night. It promises to be a fantastic evening with entertainment to suit all tastes and ages.”

Tickets, priced £7.50, include a fish and chip supper and are available from the fundraising office on 01384 377778 or online at
