A “professional pick pocket” from Rowley Regis has been jailed for a year for stealing three purses.
Lydia Turner, aged 35, pinched the purses from the handbags of women in the George Wallace and Lady Wulfruna pubs in Wolverhampton The mother-of-one, who has a long record for dishonesty, was caught on CCTV using her feet to manoeuvre a bag belonging to one of her victims.
Turner, of John Street, admitted three charges of theft at Wolverhampton Crown Court and was also barred from the two pubs for two years.
Recorder Nicholas Syfret t said her criminal record meant only a prison sentence was appropriate for her latest crimes.
Geraldine Toal, defending, said Turner committed the offences to fund her drug addiction.
