A SEDGLEY woman who stole over £9,000 from a disabled man at the care home where she worked has been warned she could be off to prison.

Sharon Raybould, aged 42, pleaded guilty to stealing £9,260 from the resident at the Pathways Care Home in Sedgley Road, Woodsetton.

Raybould, of Beacon Lane, was remanded on unconditional bail until April 10 at Wolverhampton Crown Court for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Recorder Stuart Sprawson told her it was a "very serious offence indeed" adding: "You were in a position trust while you were working as a carer.

"You exploited your position to steal money. I want you to be absolutely under no illusions whatsoever. The custody threshold has been crossed and possibly on an immediate basis."
