TODDLERS have been wiggling at a Halesowen play group to celebrate the 45th anniversary of popular children’s book The Very Hungry Caterpillar and raise money for charity.
Around 34 youngsters took part in the nationwide Giant Wiggle at their weekly session at the Hasbury Methodist Church.
They raised more than £200 for the Action for Children charity - formerly the National Children’s Homes – to mark its 145th anniversary.
Sylvia Smith, who co-runs the group, said the children, aged up to three, had butterfly and caterpillar masks, bookmarks, fruit and a certificate for taking part.
