A STREAM of talented musicians serenaded shoppers with some impromptu piano playing in Halesowen on Saturday.
Shoppings bags were dropped to tickle the ivories on the launch day of Halesowen and Rowley Regis Rotary Club’s musical fundraiser.
Rortarian and musician Tony Billingham arranged for the piano to be painted in the Rotary colours and for it to be a permanent feature in the Cornbow Shopping Centre for anyone to come and play.
The town’s MP James Morris cut the official ribbon to mark the arrival of the Play Me piano and almost £100 was raised on the day.
Mr Billingham hopes it will raise substantial funds for local charities.
