People were challenged to wear loud, mismatched and silly socks at the coffee and cake morning at Halesowen Leisure Centre to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day.
Dudley mayor Councillor Alan Finch and Halesowen councillors David Vickers and Hilary Bills also joined in the fun at the fundraiser.
The event raised £400 for Ups And Downs, which was set up by Halesowen mother Jemma Sagar to support families of local children with Down Syndrome.
Halesowen and Rowley Regis MP Mr Morris said: “This was a fantastic event, raising money to support a fantastic organisation.
“Since founding the group two years ago, Jemma and other members have made a big difference to the lives of a lot of local families and deserve all the support we can offer.
“The idea of the Lots of Socks theme is to remind us all that just as a sock is a sock, no matter how different it is from its partner, we are all essentially the same and equal and should appreciate diversity.”
