DEXY's founder Pete Williams is tuning up for a Summer of mega-gigs by performing in Halesowen this weekend.

The band, formerly known as Dexy's Midnight Runners, were founded by Kevin Rowland and Pete Williams in 1978 and went on to have massive success with Geno and Come On Eileen.

Dexy's will be playing Kasbah in Coventry on Wednesday, June 25, their first show in the city for over 30 years, a week before playing Glastonbury for the first time.

Pete Williams is preparing for the Summer with a performance at Halesowen Athletic and Cycling Club on Sunday at 8pm.

The singer-song writer will be previewing songs from his forthcoming solo album which will be released in July.

He said: "I am very excited to have been invited by the people at Halesowen Athletic and Cycling club to put on another intimate night of music with my great band.

"It will be great to be in the warm bosom of my beloved Black Country."
