QUARRY Bank Musical Theatre Society will bring the hills alive with their latest production next month.

Society members are currently polishing their performance as they prepare to take on the popular musical, The Sound of Music, at Brierley Hill Civic Hall from June 3-7.

It will be the the society's first production at the venue, having previously performed at the Netherton Arts Centre.

The theatre group's development manager, Kathryn Head, said: “This courageous move to change our performance venue has been very well supported and ticket sales have surpassed anything the society has achieved in its 54 years of existence.

"However, we are aiming for the show to sell out so people need to book their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. It’s going to be a wonderful show.”

Performances start at 7.15pm, with a Saturday matinee performance at 2.15pm.

To book tickets, call 07913884208 or visit www.qbmts.org.uk/boxoffice.html and complete the online booking form.
