THE economy of Oldbury has received a boost with the news a national giftware company is opening its new headquarters in the town.

Red Hot Lemon has agreed a five year lease on a 5,530 square foot warehouse with adjoining offices.

Three jobs have already been created and the company are hoping to create more vacancies at the new depot.

London and Cambridge Properties owns and manages the estate which tenants include Global Draw, OCS Group, and N Generation.

Red Hot Lemon is part of family-run Somerset-based Fiesta Studios and sell metal signs and wall art to the trade.

Jo Willis, Red Hot Lemon manager, said: "It has great access to the local motorway junction in Oldbury, and it also has a great outside parking area for our containers to offload."

"We are set to expand our ranges rapidly in our first year, with fresh, on-point and purely design led items and we are eager to diversify into other giftware ranges where our top-quality artwork can fulfil its potential."

She added: “We had been let down by a few companies for buildings we had selected so LCP ensured the process was as easy as possible with few hitches.

Paula James, sales negotiator at LCP, welcomed the new tenants.

She said “We listened carefully to the company’s requirements and were able to provide within our portfolio a unit which met its needs. We are pleased to be able to support yet another company that wants to move into the West Midlands area.”

The Springfield Estate in Oldbury is on the A457, between junctions 1 and 2 of the M5.

The company specialised sells British-designed tinplate and steel wall plaques and signs to wholesalers and retail stockists.
