THE Quinton Methodist Church annual Arts and Craft Festival is being held this weekend.

From Friday until Sunday there will be over 300 paintings and drawings from artists all over the West Midlands on show at the church.

Helena Taylor, from the church, said: "The festival is a regular event in the Church Calendar and well over 600 visitors come through the doors each year.

"There will be displays of woodcraft, ceramics, and wool spinning plus painting and craft demonstrations offer something for everyone."

She added: "In addition for keen gardeners, there will be a sale of a large variety of spring and summer plants, suitable for gardens large and small, window boxes, garden tubs and baskets."

On Friday night Black Country comedian Dougie Parker will be performing with musicians Steve Ashcroft and Martin Lewis at 7.30pm and tickets are £8.50. The Festival will be formally opened on Saturday at 10.30 am by the Lightwoods School Choir.

The exhibition will be open from 11am until 5pm on Friday, 10am until 5pm on Saturday and from 2pm until 4pm on Sunday.
