LONG distance Halesowen cyclist Daniel Jones is gearing up for his fourth marathon charity ride – which will also feature a walk and run.
The 20-year-old warehouseman is planning to cycle from the town to Bangor and walk and run back – a round trip of 125 miles.
Mr Jones, of Blackford Close, hopes to raise £1,000 for the Help Amber Walk appeal which has a £60,000 target to pay for an operation to help a young cerebral palsy sufferer from Pelsall walk.
“The most I’ve raised before is £800 so it would be nice to hit the £1,000 mark and it’s for such a good cause,” he said.
He plans to cycle to the Welsh town on Friday August 29 and take the following two days trekking back.
Donations to the appeal can be made at www.justgiving.com/susannah-kemp or by calling Mr Jones on 07780460262.
