SERVING members of the armed forces will join youth and veteran organisations to parade through Oldbury to mark Armed Forces Day on Saturday. (June 28)
Troops will gather at 11am at Low Town car park before setting off at 11.30am, marching up Birmingham Street to the Civic Square outside the council house where deputy mayor Councillor Shirley Hosell, will take the salute.
Military charities will have displays and stalls in the Civic Square and some of the vehicles used by 237 Logistics Corps will be on display in Freeth Street.
Cllr Hosell said: "This will be a great opportunity for everyone to show their appreciation of the men and women of the armed forces. Please do come along to pay your respects."
