COUNCILLORS and staff from Dudley Council have stumped up £1,000 for charity during their annual cricket match.
A team of officers narrowly beat members when they went head-to-head at Stourbridge Cricket Club on Friday (June 20).
The money raised will go to the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Margaret Aston's chosen charities, Action Heart and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Cllr Aston said: “The annual charity cricket match is always good fun, but most importantly raises some much needed funds for charity.
“I am delighted that we have managed to raise £1,000 for these very worthwhile causes.”
