A GENEROUS wedding boutique boss has come to the aid of a Rowley Regis mum who is putting herself in spotlight to promote charities which are helping her seriously ill son.

Julie Dyer, of Halesowen’s Perfect Days Weddings and Occasions store, has offered Melodie Williams an evening gown to wear in a beauty pageant for curvier women in London this month.

The 41-year-old, of Mountford Close, is being sponsored for entering Ms British Beauty Curve in London on July 27 to raise money for Acorns Children’s Hospice and Little Hearts Matter.

Mrs Williams plucked up the courage to push herself out of her comfort zone and take to the catwalk to support the charities which have helped four-year-old Mason.

The youngster was born with a rare life-limiting genetic condition, hypoplastic left heart syndrome, commonly known as having half a heart.

She said: “I am so grateful to Julie for her kindness in letting me choose one of her gorgeous to wear.”

Mrs Williams has already smashed her £1,000 fundraising target anyone wishing to contribute can do so at justgiving.com/melodie-williams2.
