HEAVY-handed debt collectors led an Oldbury man into selling drugs in a bid to repay what he owed, a court heard.
Ikram Razaq was jailed for three years after admitting possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
The 25-year-old also pleaded guilty at Wolverhampton Crown Court to possessing £1,320 worth of heroin and cocaine with a street value of £190.
Raj Punia, defending, said Razaq ran into difficulties paying his loan back and began receiving intimidating and threatening letters.
She said he had been "naive and foolish" after a friend told him there was a way of making easy money.
Police smelled drugs when they stopped Razaq, of Apollo Road, driving a Fiat Punto and found wraps of both drugs.
Rear seat passenger Fehzaan Azam, aged 19, of Marshall Street, Smethwick, admitted possessing cannabis with intent to supply and was placed on supervision for a year and ordered to carry out 120 hours unpaid work.
