HALESOWEN and Cradley residents are invited to the ‘Take Control and Get Involved’ housing conference and become more active in the running of housing estates.
The Dudley Council conference, which this year is open to anyone living in the borough, will promote new opportunities for tenants, leaseholders and residents to get involved and influence how housing services are delivered in the borough.
One key item under discussion will be the launch of the new involvement structure of housing services, which sees tenants and residents taking a lead in the running of the organisation.
This year’s event is being held on Wednesday 1 October at The Copthorne Hotel, The Waterfront, Brierley Hill from 9.30am until 2.30pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Councillor Gaye Partridge, cabinet member for housing, said: “The Take Control and Get Involved housing conference will be the event of the year for housing services and we want people to get in touch as soon as possible to ensure they don’t miss it.
“We will be talking about a whole host of items including the new involvement structure, consultation on the estate management review and future hopes for housing services.
“We will also be showcasing many of the initiatives housing services has on offer at an informative marketplace.”
For more information telephone the participation development team on 01384 815168 or email participation@dudley.gov.uk. Spaces are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis.
