A TODDLER from Halesowen class has managed to raise hundreds of pounds for a children's charity.

Fin Carpenter attends the Toddler Sense classes in Bromsgrove.

The classes recently participated in Tommy's Sensathon - a cowboy themed fundraiser.

At the event the two-year-old and other toddlers were sponsored by parents and family members to have wild West fun, enjoying a host of fun activities and dressing up in cowboy clothes.

Fin managed to raise an impressive £250, which was boosted even more by his father, Darren's employers, the Pertemps People Development Group which donated an extra £150 to take the total up to £400.

The money raised is being donated to the Tommy's charity, which funds research into stillbirth, premature birth and miscarriage.

Darren said he is extremely proud of his kind-hearted son.

He said: “Like all children, Fin is very precious so helping raise money for Tommy’s was important to the whole family."

“I was particularly delighted when my company provided the extra contribution as part of its community support programme.”

The Midland Sense Groups have so far raised £2,000, with funds being used by the charity to invest in a new dedicated research facility.
