KIND-hearted pupils at a Rowley Regis school made a special delivery of harvest festival produce to a charity helping elderly people.
Youngsters at Highfields Primary School boxed up their donations and representatives from each class took time out to walk to Age Concern’s Halesowen base in Green Lane to drop them off.
In the school’s harvest festival assembly, they thought about how their food donations would help others.
RE co-ordinator Zoe Hunter said: “We really enjoy helping the community here at Highfields so we thought our harvest festival would be a perfect opportunity for us to help others.
“Our school motto is ‘roots to grow, wings to fly’ and our children enjoy using their 'wings' to reach out to help the wider community.”
