A GRAFFITI vandal, who has caused thousands of pounds damage in Halesowen and neighbouring towns over three years has finally been jailed.

Creagan Piesley, from Colley Gate, has been imprisoned for 25 weeks after admitting his latest spray paint attack while already on a suspended sentence.

The 21-year-old pleaded guilty at Dudley Magistrates to damaging a lamp post in Halesowen on September 23, to carrying out an act of graffiti, being in possession of cannabis and being in breach of suspended the sentence.

Piesley, of Hedgefield Grove, was given the suspended sentence in November 2013 after admitting scrawling ‘tags’ during a graffiti spree in Halesowen and Stourbridge.

Stunned coach passengers looked on in dismay as he daubed slogans on the vehicle belonging to Lye-based Prospect Coaches causing £100 worth of damage.

He also damaged a steel shutter belonging to ironmongers Paul Johnson, of Long Lane, Halesowen.

Piesley was already in breach of two anti-social behaviour orders imposed in August 2013 for carrying spray paint and marker pens in a public place when he was banned from doing so.

Dudley Council estimated his graffiti spree of 2013 cost taxpayers £6,000 on top of the cost of damage to private businesses and individuals.
