A HISTORIC Cradley Heath park has been awarded its 10th green flag marking a decade of outstanding quality.
Haden Hill Park was the first in Sandwell to be awarded the status for being well-kept and safe, with a host of facilities.
The 55- acres are the grounds to Haden Hill House Museum - a former Victorian gentleman’s residence - and the ancient Tudor hall.
Features and amenities include ornamental ponds and gardens, woodland walks, a bowling green and two play areas for younger and older children.
Ken Smith, chairman of the Friends of Haden Hill Estate, said: “We are very pleased to be able to raise the green flag again this year.
“It was the first park in Sandwell to be awarded the flag and to have had it for 10 years is quite an achievement.”
He added his thanks to the gardeners and litter pickers whose work ensures the park continues to receive the status.
