THE animals at Dudley Zoo have been getting into the Halloween spirit by tucking into tasty pumpkin treats.
Meerkats, tapirs, orang utans and the zoo’s blue and gold macaw, Charlie, have been enjoying the seasonal snacks.
Zoo staff even stuffed a carved pumpkin with leaves for male Rothschild's giraffe, Kubwa, so he didn't miss out on the celebrations.
Ungulates team leader, Jay Haywood, said: "Lots of the animals across the zoo enjoy tucking into pieces of pumpkin at this time of year so we slice them up and hand them out or use the hollowed out ones as enrichment toys which we fill up with fruit and veg."
