FAMILIES can enjoy some free festive fun at libraries across the borough throughout the holiday period.

Youngsters can take part in craft activities at Long Lane Library, Halesowen, today (Saturday December 20) from 2 to 4pm.

A festive story time session will take place at Dudley Library tomorrow (Sunday December 21) at 11am while children can make Christmas decorations at Halesowen Library.

Children will be able to make festive themed calendars throughout the day at Stourbridge Library on December 27 and 28 and at Brierley Hill, Halesowen and Wordsley libraries on Tuesday December 30 from 11am to 12noon.

In the New Year there will be a story and craft session at Dudley Library on Saturday January 3 from 2.30pm.

Councillor Hilary Bills, cabinet member responsible for libraries, said: “The forthcoming holiday period can be a very busy time for families, but libraries are offering the chance for parents and children to take some time out of the rush and enjoy some free family fun.”
