THE 12th annual beer festival at a Halesowen cricket club is set to be a big hit with real ale fans.

Connoisseurs will be able to sample more than 30 brews at the four-day event at the Coombs Wood Sports and Social Club which kicks off on Thursday (January 29).

Steward Nick Jones from the Stewarts Road club said a selection of ciders and country fruit wines will also be available, along with hot and cold food.

Entertainment over the weekend will include a gig by rock and blues band Radiohound on Friday night.

The money-spinning festival is the club’s biggest annual fundraiser supporting the various sections of the club.

Mr Jones added: “This is our 12th festival and it is well established and firmly etched on our calendar.”

The club will be open from 6pm on Thursday, from 4pm on Friday and from noon on Saturday and Sunday.
