IT savvy pupils gave Sandwell’s mayor a lesson in e-safety when he toured their Rowley Regis special school.
Councillor Derek Rowley timed his visit to The Westminster School to co-incide with Safer Internet Day, which was marked with activities to promote the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology amongst pupils and parents.
Headteacher Christine Hill said the mayor, who was accompanied by the mayoress Glenis Rowley, had asked to visit the school after attending the school’s annual presentation evening at West Bromwich Town Hall.
She added: “It was a fantastic opportunity for the mayor to meet our pupils and get a glimpse of life at The Westminster School.”
