POLICE are still searching for a missing man who was last seen in Oldbury a week ago today (Monday).

Christopher Roy has not been seen since leaving the centre on Monday (Feb 16) afternoon. The 60-year-old needs medication and officers want sightings of him reported to them as soon as possible.

Throughout today officers have been searching the north Birmingham area, where he is believed to be, as well as scouring CCTV footage and speaking to local residents and businesses.

If members of the public see Christopher they are advised not to approach him but to call police immediately on 101.

He is described as white, 5ft 4ins tall, with short, thinning grey hair, blue eyes and a Birmingham accent. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, grey hooded top, blue jeans and black shoes.

Inspector Kevin Borg, from Birmingham Police, said: “Christopher has been receiving treatment for depression and other matters and needs to take medication.

“He has not been doing so and now needs urgent health support. We would advise members of the public to call us immediately if they see him, rather than approach him as he has been known to become violent in the past.

“If you’ve seen him, or know where he might be, please come forward and help our investigation.

“I also want to appeal directly to Christopher to contact us and let us know where he is.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or call the Missing People charity on 116 000.
