A SPURNED lover sold his former girlfriend’s cooker, fridge, washing machine and bed from her Quinton home in “revenge” after their relationship broke up.

Adam George still had a key to the property in Blandford Road, and after getting rid of the goods he also cut up her clothing.

David Bennett, prosecuting, told Wolverhampton Crown Court George moved into the flat but his relationship with Kerry Owen ended when he was arrested for tearing one of the doors off its hinges.

The 27-year-old, who had 15 previous criminal offences, returned after Miss Owen left for a few days and sold her furniture George, of no fixed address, was jailed for six months, after admitting theft and criminal damage.

Recorder Michael Hurst also made a restraining order forbidding him from having any contact with Miss Owen until further notice.

Timothy Harrington, defending, said the offences were motivated by “revenge” and George was full of remorse for his actions because he realised he had behaved badly.
