CHILDREN’S author Tommy Donbavand enthused pupils at a Rowley Regis school to read more and write stories.
The award-winning writer, well-known for his vampire–packed tales, spent a day at Brickhouse Primary School, working across all year groups.
Deputy headteacher Helen Debney said: “He worked really well with the children. He spoke to them about how to write and produced comic strips with them.
“Later he talked to them about being an author and how he started.”
She said the pupils were enthusiastic about reading his books and more keen to do their own story writing following the visit.
