8.50am - Bus passengers using the 141 service from Birmingham to Merry Hill (via Quinton, Halesowen, Old Hill and Cradley Heath) may experience delays this morning due to a breakdown.

8.35am - London Midland has said that some services passing through Kidderminster Station may be delayed or cancelled at short notice due to a passenger being taking ill.

A broken down vehicle on the M5 northbound is also blocking one lane between J2 (Oldbury) and J1 (West Bromwich).

8.22am - There is queuing traffic and delays on Alcester Road in Mosely at the Salisbury Road junction due to roadworks.

In Dudley, the Southern Bypass is busy but moving between Scotts Green island and Cinder Bank island.

Meanwhile a traffic light failure on Shrub Hill Road in Worcester is causing disruption at the Newtown Road junction.

The Stourbridge Road in Kidderminster is busy but moving between Rose Theatre mini roundabout and The Ringway junction.

7.55am - Traffic is starting to build up in Wolverhampton on Stafford Street inbound at the Ring Road St Patricks junction and Tettenhall Road moving inbound at the Chapel Ash junction.

7.42am - All lanes have now been reopened on the M42 southbound between J9 M6 Toll (Curdworth) and J8 M6 but traffic is reportedly very slow, with congestion back to J11 (Burton-upon-Trent).

For motorists travelling through Oldbury, there is traffic congestion on the Wolverhampton Road, eastbound before Birchley Island and heavy traffic on the M5 at J2 (Oldbury).

Traffic is also busy but moving on Great Western Way, Tipton, eastbound at the New Road junction.

7.27am - Following an earlier multi-vehicle crash, there is a rolling road-block while recovery work takes place on the M42 southbound between J9 M6 Toll (Curdworth) and J8 M6.

Meanwhile in Halesowen, traffic is building on Manor Way, eastbound between the Hagley Road junction and the Grange Road junction.

7.18am - Slow traffic is being repotred on the A491 Sandy Lane, eastbound in Fairfield between B4551 Money Lane junction and Lydiate Ash.

Drivers can also expect delays on the M42 northbound between J2 (Alvechurch) and J3 (Portway).

7.09am - Heavy traffic is reported at Dudley Port at the Sedgley Road East traffic lights.

6.59am – Delays can be expected as one lane is closed on the M42 Warwickshire southbound following a multi-vehicle accident between J9 M6 Toll (Curdworth) and J8.

Queues are beginning to form on the M6 southbound between J11 (Cannock) and J8 M5 due to roadworks. Travel time is around 30 minutes.
