FUN challenges across Halesowen and Sandwell businesses, clubs and schools will be held on Friday to raise funds for Comic Relief.

Staff at Springfield Children’s Centre, Rowley Regis, started early with a week-long exercise bike cycle on Monday.

Ten staff donned in Red Nose gear to clock up the miles challenging parents to guess how many equivalent six- mile circuits of the routes between the centre and the other three that make up the Health for Living Consortium – Happy Faces, in Rowley Regis, Tivdale and Cradley Heath and Old Hill.

There will be prize of a Dudley Zoo or Black Country Living Museum family pass for the closest guess and as well as donations, all the £1 charges for the stay and play sessions at the four centres will be donated to the charity.

A 24-hour sponsored trampoline bounce by more than 100 members of the Air Dynamics club at Leasowes Sports Centre starting at 5pm on Friday aims to raise more than £1,000.

A coffee morning will be held at Carters Lane Baptist Church, Halesowen on Red Nose Day, from 10.30am until noon, while Lutley Primary School will be staging a danceathon for more than 650 staff and children.
