ENTERTAINMENT exchange business CEX is due to open  a new store in Halesowen tomorrow (Friday) creating nine jobs.

Daniel Smith, aged 25, who previously worked on the corporate side of the company before training to run a shop, has taken on the franchise.

The Hagley Street business buys, sells and exchanges DVDs, computer games and electrical goods such as mobile phones and games consoles.

Mr Smith said: “It has been something of a strange journey from working for the company to then taking ownership of part of it. It’s been great.”

Halesowen Chamber of Trade chairman Wayne Edwards added: “The chamber welcomes this young entrepreneur who has created eight other jobs and we wish him well.”
