Tributes have been paid to former Bromsgrove and Redditch MP, Sir Hilary 'Hal' Miller.

Sir Hal served as Bromsgrove's MP between 1974 and 1992.

A MAN armed with a kitchen knife savagely attacked two Stourbridge sisters leaving them both needing emergency surgery, a court has heard.

Jessica Brookes suffered a stab wound to her throat and sustained a serious hand injury after being stabbed by John Loveridge who admitted wounding during the court case.

Two people were taken to hospital after a crash in Dudley this morning.

The two-car smash happened on the Dudley Southern Bypass, and the road had to be closed.

Meanwhile, in Redditch, the public have been invited to attend a "Save Our Services" rally in aid of the town's Alexandra Hospital.

The rally, organised by Save the Alex Campaign group, aims to send a clear message to health chiefs that whoever is elected on May 7, their first job should be to save the Alex Hospital.
