NEW DELHI: One of the masterminds of 13 bomb blasts that killed 260

people in Bombay last year had been arrested and documents seized from

him proved the involvement of Pakistan, the Indian Parliament was told

yesterday. Home Minister Shankarrao Chavan said that Yakub Abdul Razak

Memon, an alleged Muslim underworld chief in Bombay, was arrested by

security agencies in Delhi yesterday. Chavan claimed documents provided

irrefutable evidence of Pakistani complicity in the blasts, but in

Islamabad, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said Pakistan rejected the

allegations ''with the contempt they deserve''.
