CZECH teenager Milan Misun is expected to arrive at Celtic Park today to tie up a four-year contract.

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan has hopes the 18-year-old defender - who was wanted by AC Milan - could solve his left-back problem.

The Czech under-20 player, who has made only 12 first team appearances for FK Pribram, admits he cannot wait to get started in Glasgow.

"It is the best gift I could have got for Christmas," said Misun.

"When I was at Celtic on trial for a couple of days they treated me really well and I believe I can improve as a player there."

Misun's agent Ondrej Chovanec reached an agreement with Celtic after talks with Parkhead chief executive Peter Lawwell. Celtic have yet to agree a fee for the defender who had two years remaining on his contract.

Chovanec said: "Milan should be in Glasgow on Thursday to sign a professional deal.

"We are delighted as we have managed to get our player to one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

"There was also huge interest from AC Milan, but Celtic acted quickly.

Celtic trialist Erlend Hanstveit today revealed he still doesn't know if he will get a Parkhead deal.

The Brann left-back was on trial last week, but he had to quit training early so he could get married in Norway at the weekend.

But Celtic's swoop for Misun may KO that move. Hanstveit's father and agent Per Bjarte said: "We have not received any feedback from Celtic."
